Sarvesh Nair

Assistant Systems Engineer, Tata Consultancy Services

I'm a Computer Science graduate who likes keeping systems healthy — patching, testing and debugging applications by day, and building small, slightly unnecessary tools like a gesture-controlled mouse by night.

About

I graduated in 2025 with a B.Tech in Computer Science from Pillai College of Engineering, and I've spent the time since figuring out how the two halves of software actually meet: the code, and the infrastructure it runs on. At TCS, that means patching, performance-testing and debugging real production applications. Before that, an internship at TCiA Global had me provisioning AWS and Azure resources and managing client websites — my first real taste of infrastructure other people actually depended on.

Outside of work I'm usually building something smaller and slightly stranger — a virtual mouse that reads hand gestures through a webcam was one of my favourite college projects. Lately I've also been poking around networking fundamentals and the basics of ethical hacking, mostly to understand systems from the other side.

Experience

  1. Assistant Systems Engineer

    Current

    Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.

    • Patch and maintain enterprise applications to keep them current and secure
    • Run performance tests to catch bottlenecks before they reach users
    • Debug production issues and provide ongoing application support
    • Validate databases to keep data accurate across systems
  2. Cloud Computing Intern

    TCiA Global, Vashi

    • Provisioned AWS EC2 instances and configured Azure VMs with backup failovers
    • Built SOPs and monitoring dashboards, and set up AWS SNS alerts for faster incident response
    • Designed and managed client websites, from build through ongoing updates
  3. Machine Learning Intern

    Prodigy Infotech, Mumbai

    • Processed large datasets and identified KPIs to deliver data-driven insights
    • Applied regression and random-forest algorithms to improve model accuracy
  4. B.Tech, Computer Science

Pillai College of Engineering, New Panvel — 2025

    • Spent college building projects alongside coursework, including a gesture-controlled virtual mouse

Projects

A mix of coursework, hackathons and things I built because I was curious.

Gesture-Controlled Virtual Mouse

A college project that swaps the mouse for your hand — a live camera feed reads finger positions and gestures and translates them into cursor movement and clicks.

PythonOpenCVComputer Vision

Predictive ML Models

Two prediction models — one estimating house prices from location, size and amenities, another assessing vehicle health from sensor data — both built with regression and random-forest algorithms.

Machine LearningRegression

NLP Model for Anxiety & Depression Detection

Built an NLP model to help identify anxiety and depression signals in text — a chance to apply data science to a sensitive, genuinely useful problem.

NLPMachine Learning

Smart Yoga Mat

Built the Android app interface for an AI-integrated smart yoga mat with my Smart India Hackathon team — sensor-based posture detection with real-time feedback.

Insomnia-Assist Concept

Analyzed the architecture for an AI and sensor-based concept to help people with insomnia at the Techgium (L&T) Hackathon, and helped integrate its automation and app-based controls.
